The Lake Travis 4th of July Guide
Every fireworks show, hometown parade, and patio party worth your Saturday — mapped from the north shore to the Hill Country.
This year the celebration carries extra weight: 2026 marks America's 250th birthday, and the lake is leaning in. Lago Vista is running a "250 Years of American Spirit" parade, Lakeway's golden-era march rolls on, and the fireworks are stacked three nights deep. Whether you're anchoring out for Mack's show, claiming a curb in Lakeway, or just chasing the best patio view, here's your full guide to celebrating Independence Day Lake Travis-style.

Plan Your Day on the Lake
Going by boat? The Mattress Mack and Starnes Island shows are best seen from the water — get to your cove well before dusk, anchor with room to spare, and keep your navigation lights on for the ride home.
Staying on land? Free parades (Lakeway, Lago Vista) fill curbs early, and the Hill Country Galleria lot tightens up by early evening. Bring chairs, water, and sunscreen — early July heat is no joke around here.
Heads up: The 4th lands on a Saturday in 2026, so expect a packed three-day weekend on the water and on 620. Build in extra drive time.
